Foundation · Monthly books

Books kept straight, every month.

We code every transaction the way a service shop needs it, reconcile every account, and send you statements you can read in five minutes. You get your nights back.

Sound familiar?

If this is your shop, we should talk.

The books are a few months behind, and the big catch-up weekend never happens.
You check the bank balance instead of your reports, because the reports don't match reality.
Tax time is a scramble, and your preparer's first email is a list of things they couldn't find.
You're the highest-paid data entry clerk at your own shop, and you work the night shift.

None of that is a character flaw. Bookkeeping is the wrong job for the person running the trucks, and it's the job we do all day.

What's included

Here's everything you get.

Every account reconciled

Every bank and card account reconciled to the statement, every month. When a month closes, it stays closed.

Coded for a service shop

Categories built around how a shop runs: equipment, materials, labor and trucks, split the way you bill the work. The software defaults don't get a vote.

Statements with a note

Your profit and loss and balance sheet land in your inbox every month, with a plain-English note on anything that moved.

Answers within a business day

Question about a charge or a report? Call, text or email. Asking never costs extra, so you'll actually ask.

Tax-ready books all year

Your tax preparer gets clean records in January instead of a shoebox in March.

Catch-up quoted up front

If you're behind, we quote the catch-up at a fixed price before we start. Monthly service begins from a clean baseline.

One flat monthly price

We quote it after a look at your books, based on how many transactions and accounts you run. It doesn't jump in a busy month, and it doesn't tick up when you ask questions.

Not sure where your books stand?

Start with the 75-Point Books Checkup. One flat price, a scored report in plain English, and three findings or you don't pay.

Getting started

How it works.

  1. A 30-minute call

We talk through where your books stand, whether any catch-up is needed, and what your flat monthly price would be. Phone or Zoom.

  2. We get you set up

You give us access to your books, we tune the chart of accounts to a service shop, and any cleanup gets a fixed quote before we touch it.

  3. Your months close on schedule

Transactions get coded through the month, accounts reconcile at close, and your statements show up with a note on what changed.

When clean books aren't enough

Want to see your numbers between closes?

The dashboard plan adds a live screen on your phone: cash for the next 13 weeks, profit by job type, and the hire test run on your real numbers.

Common questions

Straight answers.

My books are a mess. Can you still take me on?

Yes. Catch-up and cleanup get a fixed quote before anything starts, so there's no open-ended bill. Then monthly service starts from a clean baseline.

What software do you work in?

QuickBooks Online. If you're on something else, a spreadsheet, or a drawer full of receipts, bring it to the call and we'll map out the move.

What does it cost?

One flat monthly price based on your transaction volume, how many accounts you run and how involved the books are. We quote it after a look at your books, and it stays flat. No hourly billing.

How much of my time does this take?

Very little. We'll ping you when a charge needs your answer, and your statements take about five minutes to read.

Do you do my taxes?

No. We do bookkeeping and financial systems, and we hand your tax preparer clean books to work from. If you don't have a preparer, we can point you to good ones in Baton Rouge.
